Gardening Programs at the library
The highlight of gardening month at St. Marys Community Public Library is our gardening presentation on Tuesday, May 11. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Christopher Kline of Butterfly Ridge Conservation Center will speak with us about Butterfly Gardening with Native Perennials. This is a Zoom presentation. Please email us at stmaryshelp@seolibraries.org for an access code to this wonderful program.
The annual Garden Swap and Share features a different format this year, taking place during library hours from Monday, May 10, to Saturday, May 22. A cart will be available outside the front doors of the library during library hours for plant divisions and seedlings. Bring a plant; take a plant! This is a great way to get new items for your yard and garden as well as to thin out spreading plants you no longer want.
The library garden month programs are co-sponsored by Heritage Trails Park District. For more information, contact the St. Marys Community Public Library at (419) 394-7471 or visit us online at smcpl.org. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, too.
