The St. Marys Community Public Library is hosting an event titled “Adventures in Foraging” on Tuesday, June 18th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Join us as we learn about foraging for wild edible plants. Both savory and sweet samples will be offered as a taste of easily foraged local plants. Examples of these are wild onion, elderberry, redbud blossom, and paw-paw.
Allison Brady, the Park Commissioner for the Heritage Trails Park District of Auglaize County, will be the speaker. Brady holds a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation from Kent State University and has worked her whole career in parks and recreation. She has a wealth of knowledge in the field of nature.
