The workshop style of this class allows each experience to be unique! The instructor will discuss the fundamentals of crafting clay, with step-by-step instructions on how to coil, pinch, slip, and score clay to create stunning three dimensional art pieces. Participants will have the opportunity to create a fish-shaped dish, pendant necklace or choose from a list of different options including trinket trays, coasters, jewelry, home décor, and more!
All ages welcome, children under 14 with an adult.
Clay stimulates curiosity, motivates participants to problem-solve as they work on their project, and ultimately leads them to craft unique three-dimensional art. Crafting is a great method to exercise your creative thinking while also participating in hands-on activities relevant to our world’s history. Ceramics, massive constructions, and tablets that recorded history and mythology were all made from clay.
Adults, teens, and children with an adult are all welcome to participate. The library will provide the necessary materials. PLEASE CALL TO SIGN UP.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
