VONNETTA MAYO PR Author Visit 2022 post

The St. Mary’s Community Public Library invites the public to an author visit featuring Vonnetta Mayo on Wednesday, October 5, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Her books, Joy in Sorrow, Hope for Tomorrow, and Joy in Sorrow, Hope For Tomorrow: Homecoming, will be the topic of his discussion. Books will be available for $14 each at the presentation.

Joy in Sorrow, Hope for Tomorrow is about a young girl telling her story about her mother, her mother’s three friends, and her three younger brothers’ experience as slaves on a plantation in Memphis, Tennessee. When the young girl is telling her story, you would be able to visualize the young girl, her mother, her mother’s three friends, and her three younger brothers’ day-to-day lives as slaves on a plantation. This book will uplift your spirit with its Christian foundation. As well as enlighten you a little about African American history.
