The St. Marys Community Public Library is hosting kid’s yoga classes presented by Alaina Olding (a 200-hour certified yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance) every Tuesday starting on August 22nd (running through December 19th) at 6:00 p.m. Classes will be held in the library’s children’s section and are geared for ages 6-11. RESERVATION IS REQUESTED.
Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and even reduce children’s anxiety and stress.
