The St. Marys Community Public Library is hosting creative writing classes every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join us to create characters and worlds. Located in the library’s Young Adult section, each week’s class will be based on a different theme. Flash Fiction, Printable Escape Room, Inanimate Object Project, Comic Book, LEGO Labyrinth, Newspaper Article, and Fiction in Reality are just a few of the upcoming themes.
Classes will run from October 4th through November 15th. Themes will be announced on Facebook throughout the next month!
The process of writing encourages critical thinking. Organizing thoughts into coherent narratives requires analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information effectively. Writing nurtures creativity and imagination. Writers can create worlds, characters, and stories that reflect their interests, dreams, and unique perspectives. Teens can use this class to help build characters for future projects like their own stories, comic books, and video games.
