The St. Marys Community Public Library invites teens and adults to a beginning tatting class on Monday, September 11th at 6:00 p.m. The instructor for the classes is local tatting expert Sparrow Kelley. Cost for the class is $35 to cover a packet of materials containing a tatting shuttle, thread, and materials packet. Participants should bring a pair of scissors and extra money if they wish to buy additional supplies. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; class size is limited to eight participants.
The beginning tatting class will cover information about supplies used, a brief history of tatting, making a double stitch, rings, chains, and joins.
