Book Discussion planned at library

The St. Marys Community Public Library welcomes all to a discussion of The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. Books are available at the library to check out and read prior to our discussion.

Threads of past and present intertwine in this spine-tingling novel. In 1791 Nella, following in her mother’s footsteps, runs a shop that serves women in a most intriguing way.

Against Nella’s story we meet Caroline, who in present-day London is taking an anniversary trip for two—solo—and reeling from her husband’s infidelity. While reluctantly participating in a group tour, she fishes an old blue bottle from the Thames. Intrigued, Caroline traces its origins and uncovers a link to London’s long-unsolved “apothecary murders.”

Join us for what is sure to be a great discussion.
