Library to discuss Educated: A Memoir

The St. Marys Community Public Library will hold a discussion about Educated: A Memoir, by Tara Westover, on Thursday, March 10, 2022. We will meet from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the library meeting room. Books are available at the library to check out and read prior to our discussion.

Tara Westover’s life story is one you won’t forget. Raised off the grid by Mormon survivalists, Tara was forbidden to go to school and was isolated in a situation of increasing family mental illness and violence. Eventually, she manages to gain enough education to be accepted into college and break free. The reaches of family go far, however, and will Tara ever be truly free?

Join us as we share our love of books, and discover a possible selection of new books to try for yourself. It’s a great time to come back to the library!
